Coronavirus: Tanzania President Says He Will Not Shut Down Churches Or Mosque



John Magufuli , The President of Tanzanie has vowed never to close down churches contrary to what many countries affected by the COVID-19 or coronavirus has implemented in other to reduce the spread of the virus.

According to the President, the church is the body of Christ, so no coronavirus can overpower it, He said True healing can only be found in churches and mosque thus he will never close down these religious institutions. 

Just before announcing six more comfirmed positive corona cases to take the country’s total to 12, President Magufuli was in church where he likened the Covid 19 pandemic as satanic, and needing God’s intervention to put an end to it

 “Corona is Satanic and cannot survive in the body of Christ, it will burn.” Tanzania should take precautions but the government hasn’t prohibited prayers in mosques and churches because that’s where “there is true salvation,”Magufuli said in Swahili during a church service in the capital, Dodoma.
